Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a school of martial arts primarily consisting of ground fighting; it is similar to wrestling, but includes bitchin’ submissions (like chokes) and joint locks (like arm bars and foot locks) so you can make a brother (or sister) tap out. Learn to kimura with BJJ players of all shapes, sizes, and experience levels; maybe you can take down a blue belt or wrist lock a purple belt, but it’ll take some discipline and a healthy serving of grip strength, Guillotines, guard passes, and a lot of sweaty Gi love to get to that level! Bodyfit offers a special Beginner BJJ class especially for the newbies out there who want to check out the BJJ sitch, regular BJJ practice with players of all kinds, and Advanced BJJ that will include Live Training.
